MGI Construction Corp. was contracted by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation to demolish and clear multiple residential, commercial, and industrial properties along the QEW corridor in Niagara-on-the-Lake and St. Catharines. The scope included full structural demolition, disposal of underground services and paving, and safe removal of designated substances such as asbestos, lead, and silica. All sites were backfilled, graded, and restored with topsoil and seed to meet Ministry standards, preparing the corridor for future highway infrastructure improvements. This large-scale program required careful coordination across multiple urban and industrial properties, each with unique structural and environmental challenges. By executing the work safely and efficiently, MGI contributed to advancing critical transportation upgrades in the Niagara Region.
