MGI Construction Corp. was contracted by the City of Mississauga to complete demolition works as part of the transformation of the former Glenforest Secondary School swimming pool enclosure into a new youth hub. The scope involved the safe dismantling and removal of the decommissioned indoor pool structure, utilizing a large crane to execute the work efficiently within a tight school property setting. This demolition was the first step in preparing the site for redevelopment into the Glenforest Youth Hub, a community facility designed to provide programs and services tailored to local youth. Similar in vision to the highly successful Malton Youth Hub, the project reflects Mississauga’s investment in creating inclusive, accessible spaces where young people can gather, learn, and thrive.
