Westmount Public School, a public school that first opened its doors in 1925, was slated for demolition and MGI Construction was on-site to perform these construction services. Sitting near the northeast portion of the Oshawa Centre, the building's most recent tenant was Durham Alternative Secondary School (DASS). The redevelopment of the northeast block of the Oshawa Centre is part of the long-term planning process for the property for Durham Region.
