MGI Construction Corp. was retained to perform earthworks and heavy civil services for the 27-storey, 558-unit condominium development at 1061 The Queensway in Etobicoke. Developed by Sobeys Developments Limited Partnership and designed by Turner Fleischer Architects, this ambitious project is set to reshape the Queensway corridor with modern residential towers, a grocery store, and retail podium. MGI’s scope included bulk excavation, grading, cut-and-fill operations, and underground servicing to prepare the property for vertical construction. By establishing a solid foundation and robust civil infrastructure, MGI helped support a landmark development that will bring new housing, amenities, and economic vitality to South Etobicoke.
